Liam's Heart

Within days of being brought into this world, Liam had his first open heart surgery followed by two more at different stages in his life. For those of you that have followed his journey, you are aware that he was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome also referred to as HLHS. Without these three surgeries it would not have been possible for him to be here with us today. He has done so well conquering every step of the way. Recently Liam was admitted to the hospital where the doctors identified heart failure. Reality is that he will need much more care as time goes on and we will take it step by step. Every year there are so many medical costs incurred for Liam's care he needs which results in thousands of dollars of liability. They have just started Liam on a medication that will be costing $6,000 a year to keep his heart function stable for as long as possible before considering next steps. I am starting this fundraiser to help with medical bills associated with the care Liam immediately needs along with the continued care he is going to need in the future.
