Help Liam explore the world

If you know our family, you know we love to be outdoors. We love to hike and adventure and find new places to see off the main roads.

Liam is our almost 11 year old with Spina Bifida, hydrocephalus, Chiari 2 Malformation, scoliosis, relies on a feeding tube for 100% of his nutrition, among a dozen other complex medical diagnoses. He is 100% dependent on a wheelchair or us to get around.

Currently on our outings and hikes we put him in a fantastic hiking carrier. However, as you can imagine, at almost 11 he is getting very heavy. Too heavy for Mom to carry and increasingly hard on Dad's back and unfortunately with his skin breakdown he can only sit for a limited time in the carrier due to the pressure points.

We have been researching and looking around for options over the past year. We've found special sleds for winter, and huge strollers/special wheelchairs that don't break down to fit in the trunk but nothing that was quite right.

Then we came across this incredible design. The Cascade Tandem Hiking Cart by Huckleberry Hiking. It will allow us to travel on all landscapes, in all seasons AND pack it up for travel while continuing to bring Liam with us to places that are otherwise completely inaccessible for him.

Unfortunately there is no to very limited help financially for "extras" like this so we are reaching out to ask for help.
