Hi, My name is Marney and I am Anthony's Aunt. Anthony is only 2 years old and has been diagnosed with Medulloblastoma (brain tumor). My brother and his wife took Anthony to the ER because they thought he had an ear infection, that was when they were told that his condition was much worse than a simple childhood ear infection. Anthony was transfered to Oakland Children's Hospital right away. He has had the surgery to remove the tumor and the tumor is cancerous. The surgery has left Anthony unable to walk or communicate, but with therapy, the doctors are hopeful he will regain the ability to do so. Anthony must now undergo intensive chemotherapy for approximately one year, but they cannot do radiation because he is too young. He has received his first chemo treatment and his poor little body is not handling it well, the side effects have been awful for him. Anthony's mother Cynthia has not left his side, which leaves Mike (my brother) to care for their other two children age 8 and 1. Thank god for family and friends. Anthony is going to need things his parents could never dream of needing nor can they afford. Please find it in your heart to donate what you can, every dollar adds up.
