My name is Juli Alberto and I ‘am trying to raise money for my moms best friend Sterling Creager who has been struggling with stage 4 Breast Cancer since September of 2012.
Dear Family and Friends,
For years, individuals and organizations across the globe have dedicated themselves to the fight against breast cancer, a disease that will claim millions of lives in 2015. The fight against cancer goes on. There is no one I know who can say they Do Not have a friend or relative who has battled this terrible illness.
Cancer came into Sterling life almost 3 years ago. She was born October 10, 1961. When she found out the news her whole world crashed and everything changed from that day forward. She thought the cancer would go unnoticed with that lump in her breast but she found it that bright afternoon. The cancer rocked her world and changed her in more ways than she even thought was possible. Her entire body has changed inside and out, and she was not prepared for what was going to happen next. Sterling took every cut that came at her and gave it right back although each boost of strength just made her hate that cancer even more. Sterling hated cancer for coming into her life and hurting her, her family, and friends but the sadness that was left with her was the cancer trying to win- even when she prevailed. She says the cancer tries to kills us with it’s black nastiness and when that doesn’t work she says you leave us with darkness that she cannot explain, an emptiness that only others who have met you get. The emotional scars are not at all what she thought. She said here is what you did not count on. This incredible alliance of breast cancer men and women together are pushing each other through our darkest moments-we call it “Cancer Connection.” Together we help each other with ways to beat you, tricks to get through surgery, tips to push through chemo, ways to heal through radiation. She said but best of all how to heal our minds after you have gone! The cancer tries to sadden us by taking our friends but that just empowers us to fight even harder in their memory. Yes, I am just one person. What can I possibly do to you? She told me she knows that cancer will not give up but neither will she.
Due to all that has happen sterling has still stayed positive and hopefully she told me when she first found out her thoughts that came to her mind was she going to die before her Dad and who was going to take care of her husband Mark and her cats that she loves dearly. This has but a huge strain on her finances and she lost her business she loved because of this illness. Still after all that has happen she still wants to give and give she is a remarkable woman with so much love, caring, giving.
My goal is to raise $5,000 dollars for Sterling Creager please help me reach that goal. I’m asking all of you for your support any contribution of $5, $10,$20 or more will help.
