Lexi's Medical Fund

Lexi was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease in May 2014. After numerous miserable months of fighting with excruciating pains and multiple days of missed work, Lexi was sent to the Mayo Clinic, where she doctors, in December 2015 for an emergency surgery. Lexi had almost a foot of intestines removed, and a large portion of her small bowel. She also was given an ileostomy during this procedure. The pains and intestinal inflammation came back in April of 2016, and haven't left since. She had to leave her job as an insurance producer at State Farm in September of 2016, and has been fighting for disability ever since. She was denied three times, and now we are waiting for our date to meet with an adminstrative law judge to see if she can finally get disability. We have been waiting for the date since February of 2017, and have still yet to hear back from them about when. Lexi was diagnosed with Colitis in January, and abdominal wall pain from severe nerve damage from the disease. In July of 2017 she was also diagnosed with arthritis from the Crohn's, as well. We recently went back to the Mayo this past weekend, and test results showed inflammation is active in her small bowel, and a stricture around her stoma. She has been dealing with miserable pains and nausea lately more than ever, and was told that she would need surgery to reverse her ileostomy, because her doctor believes that the stoma itself is causing a lot of the issues. We are still waiting on a consultation to set up surgery. With only one job from her husband, and two kids to raise, the struggles have been horrible over the past year of fighting the disability. And now with surgery coming out of nowhere, once again, we will need any of the help we can get as security to get us by for any missed work, gas, and food for the stay down in Rochester during the surgery and recovery (which is 4-7 days.) We aren't people that like asking for help, whatsoever, but in a situation like this anything helps us.
