Levon’s Recovery Fund - 13-year-old DUI Victim

Donation protected
Levon is fighting a battle that no child should have to fight.   At only 13 years old he became a victim of a negligent drunk driver and is in critical condition. On Friday, August 23rd, Levon and his older brother took their dog for a walk across the street at Glorietta park. On their way home, just before 8pm the younger brother was struck by a drunk driver with a blood alcohol level of 0.3 - nearly 4 times the allowable limit. Levon was taken to the USC trauma center, where he remains in critical condition. The older brother was not hit (and the dog was able to escape), but he witnessed the horrific accident and is now in a deep traumatic state.  Because this was across their house, mom heard the commotion and the very loud and desperate screaming of her older son and rushed out to see her little boy on the ground covered in blood with no movement.  No mother should ever witness such a horrific scene! The kids followed all the rules and waited for the crosswalk lights to flash and for the cars to stop before they crossed, but the drunk driver approached from the curve and did not stop despite another driver’s efforts to honk and try to stop him. Levon has numerous injuries with broken bones and his little handsome face is unrecognizable with multiple patches of stitchings. However, all this is insignificant as we wait for him to wake up or respond praying that his brain injuries will heal. It’s been one week of sleepless days  and nights, with mom and dad not leaving their precious child’s side and we are still waiting... We have started this Go Fund Me account to ease the burden of the family. Dad is self-employed and mom was studying to become a nurse along with full-time work at a doctor’s office. Neither of them currently have any means of income due to this very unfortunate situation. Over the next weeks and months ahead they will need to be at hospital, near their son who has yet to respond. As you can imagine the normal costs of  everyday living such as rent, food, car, etc...the medical/therapy costs can be immense. Your donations will enable the family to concentrate on their son who’s fighting for his life. From the bottom of our hearts we humbly ask that you share this link with friends and family and if possible in giving - any amount will help. We thank you for your support and God bless each and every one of you!!
