Levonn's Road to recovery

First and foremost, our family would like to thank everyone for the continued prayers for my nephew Levonn.
Levonn went to the school office and was complaining of a headache and neck pain on Wednesday, April 7, 2021, at Wisconsin Academy where he currently attends high school. As he sat there while three staff members were assessing him, he began sweating and calling out that he couldn't move his neck. Then he stopped suddenly and said he wanted to lie down. The staff members said that wasn't a good idea, and then the assistant dean, who happened to be one of the staff members in the office at the time, took him out to the truck to go to the hospital. Another staff member joined them on the ride and helped with Levonn.
After he received a CT scan at the hospital, Flight for Life was called to rush him to the Children’s Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. When my sister, Marina, and brother-in-law, Lamont, arrived, doctors were operating on Levonn because he needed emergency surgery to correct the bleeding in his brain. Mom and dad then saw Levonn in an induced coma and intubated.
The next morning a repeat scan was done on Levonn, at that point they saw an aneurysm that needed to be corrected immediately, once again he went into surgery in a different part of the brain. Levonn’s blood pressure and intracranial pressure (ICP) levels were elevated shortly after those surgeries, eventually those levels improved, and they were able to start tapering down his sedation. Levonn woke up from his sedation by the power of God, mom and dad began praying for improvement, prior to waking up he was not responding to the neurological reflex tests.
Levonn was diagnosed with Arteriovenous malformation (AVM) which is an abnormal connection between arteries and veins, usually in the brain or spine. Arteriovenous malformation (AVM) is usually present at birth. The arteries and veins in an arteriovenous malformation can rupture, causing bleeding into the brain or spinal cord.
Levonn was extubated on Sunday, April 10, 2021. The neurologist prepared our family with the idea that Levonn might lose his speech, or maybe even lose the ability to walk. The right side of his body is a little weak but we are happy he is responding to commands, walking while assisted, and has his long-term memory intact. His short-term memory is currently affected. Levonn has a long road to recovery but we are confident he will get better.
He is currently still admitted, and has started physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy.
We are asking for continued prayers, and any monetary assistance to help offset the cost of medical bills, therapy, continued follow ups, and mom and dad currently being off from work.
We would like to thank the Wisconsin Academy for their quick thinking and rushing Levonn to the nearest emergency room, we do not even want to think about what would have happened if Levonn went to lay down instead of going to the ER.
