Levi Camacho's Emergency Fund

Levi is a mechanic by trade. He suffered a horrible accident while working on a truck. While underneath it, a cable on the transmission came loose and the truck began to roll. To avoid the differential, he put his foot up against the frame in an effort to stop it, but he couldn't. His foot ended up at his chest, the truck drug him a distance, then rolled over him twice more before anyone could get the door open to stop it. It happened so fast, there wasn't much that could have been done to help.

His femur is broken, his tibia is broken, and his pelvis is broken. His ribs are either fractured or severely bruised. His lung collapsed. Also, he's losing blood due to the pelvic break, so they are giving him donor blood as needed. He will have a team of orthopedic surgeons working on him for several days.

His surgery will consist of a rod in his femur attached by screws in his pelvis, screws in the outside of his pelvis and a plate in the front of his pelvis to stabilize it, a rod and screws in his tibia, and possibly a plate there too.

Levi has an incredibly supportive, amazing wife, and is a father to their four young children...the youngest is a one year old baby.

Levi's recovery will be long and very difficult for himself and the family. He was the breadwinner if the family, as Crystal stays home and cares for the kids.
