Help Struggling LevelUp Game Zone in Houston

Brief Description:

After researching the best systems in Virtual Reality, on September 28, 2019 the Mirza family bravely invested their family savings and opened Level Up Game Zone in Spring, Texas. While Level Up Game Zone was supposed to be a new and exciting source of entertainment for Houston families, it quickly fell victim to the crowd-restricted policies brought on from the pandemic. Just four months after opening, Level Up Game Zone began struggling to stay afloat. 

Sadly, the Mirza family is now barely able to cover their own apartment’s rent and grocery, let alone Level Up’s rent and utilities. As Ovais Mirza, the store’s owner, tries to keep the business open, he works round the clock just to make sure the family’s basic needs are met. 

Ovais, is the sole breadwinner in the family, keeping the family business, Level Up Game Zone, open all week. To make ends meet, he also works for a delivery service and Uber to make some money and keeps his elderly parents comfortable by providing their basic and medical needs. As the business struggles, he is the Mirza family’s only hope to get back their savings, so they can start again. The Mirza family will need $50,000 to get their savings back and start a new, more promising life in the US. 

Backstory:

The Mirza family came to the United States in June of 2019, having moved from Pakistan and, as so many other hardworking immigrants do, sought to build a new life in America. They took their life savings from their home country and invested it into a business they were confident would be a lively, family-oriented addition to the Houston area. 

The time and research they put in to finding the best machines to welcome all ages is only a further testament to their dedication and faith in their business. Each part of the store was created with love to make it an exciting place that everyone would love to come to. Every light fixture, poster, picture, and TV screen was hand-selected to create the perfect ambience for a virtual reality gaming zone. 

How you can help:

Unfortunately, the Mirza family do not have the funds to keep their small business going. In fact, they are barely able to cover the business’s running expenses and any profit to put towards home expenses has become nothing more than a dream. 

The goal is to raise enough money to close their struggling business and get the money back this family poured in. With their life savings in hand, and a promise to a better life in the US, the Mirza family did not foresee that their life here would lead to such despair. Once their home and medical expenses are paid, the Mirzas want to use the money they raise to invest in a running business that would do well in these pandemic times. It is with this money that they hope to rebuild their life here and look forward to a more promising future.
