Levee's medical bills

On May 15 we took our 4 year old dog, Levee to the vet because her tummy was slightly hard/swollen and she wasn't eating much. I thought it was just gas but the vet took X-rays and said there's fluid in her abdomen and it's quite serious. Matt and I rushed her to the hospital where we waited and waited when finally someone sat us down saying it could be all kinds of things, cancer being the worst case. It felt incredibly surreal and scary, we just wanted to bring home our dog that was healthy and happy the day before. Levee stayed in the hospital for 2 nights and on the morning of May 17 I got a devastating phone call saying the fluid had reached her lungs and they were performing CPR. We were at the hospital within minutes only to find out that they couldn’t bring her back

Levee was so special. We would go to dog parties and she would sit in the human chair watching us play cards. She was so patient and an old soul but still ripped it up like a puppy. Walks with her were therapeutic. She knew the best tricks and loved ALL of the food. We will always have dogs but there will never be another Levee, she was our kid. We miss her so much and just hope she knows we did everything we could and fought so hard to get her healthy again

We attached the invoice in the photo section, they didn’t get a chance to do a CAT scan but had a few test results reviewed by a cancer specialist who said it was most likely Lymphoma
