Leukemia - Isabelle's Battle

1 DECEMBER 2017: So the next new treatment did not work. Now I am on a brand new treatment which hopefully will rid my body of the little remaining cancer in my body. Feeling positive about this new treatment.
My updated picture and the chain I am holding is added to every time I go to hospital - each charm means a different treatment, for example - blood transfusion, bone marrow biopsy, chemo treatment, IV fluids, the list goes on - needles no longer hurt me.
As you can see from the picture I have lost most of my hair - I don't mind cause it will grow back stronger than ever - the chemo drugs they put into my body cannot recognise hair follices and that is why the chemo wipes out the hair cells as well. Not 100% sure how this chemo works - its a pretty potent drug but as long as it rids me of this horrid leukemia I will be happy.
Dont forget all my followers - give blood if you can - it will help save lives xo

UPDATE: The chemo did not take to my body. I am not in remission. I still have a long road ahead of me.
New treatment starts 20 October - I have just had surgery to put an external port in and also some as to what they call "butterflies" in my stomach - so my dear Mum can inject drugs into my system through them while I am at home without having to go to the hospital every day.
My mum breaks out into a sweat when she has to inject the "butterflies" but she does it because she knows it will help me get better.
If this does not help - then I have to go for a bone marrow transplant in Melbourne - my family needs to be tested for a possible donor (hopefully it will not get to this stage - need to wait several weeks).
I am a strong person - I will not give up my strength or my will to live to Leukemia.
Support me please and love me for the teenager I am, young Isabelle fighting this battle with a nasty cancer called Leukemia. I will fight this and I will win and I will turn out a stronger person than I started as xo

My name is Isabelle - everyone calls me Izzy - I am 13 - and did not ask for this. (Leukemia) - To me at the moment it sounds like a foreign object in my body. I am into my 5th week of treatment - I feel like a pin cushion - I am looking forward (well not really but the pain will be less) - of having an op on 18 October to put a valve in so I dont have to be treated like a pin cushion lots - my hair has started to fall out and I get tired lots and I have to get around in a wheelchair cause I am so tired - I love to eat chicken and the tablets I have every week cost a small fortune per week ($57) -- my Mum has given up work to look after me full-time.
I travel to the RHH and stay overnight once a week - so extra travel costs add up over time. I just want to get better.
I also have a teenage sister and a younger brother that need time, love, education, food and clothes - now we have half the salary per year that we used to have its been hard on my family - especially since I eat triple to what I used to (due to the drugs and chemo that goes into my body - I crave food - its perfectly normal) - my parents food bill is near triple to what it used to be. Please help my parents. I have great family support but they all have their own money commitments and help where they can but they are not rich, but they go without so I can have things :-) xo
Going to be a long 2.5 years for me and my family, relatives and friends but I really want to get through this without being a financial burden to my family and relatives xo I want to come through shining at the other end when I beat Leukemia.
Please help fund me to help my dear Mum and Dad who I love very much - they are battlers and do not ask for much. I am not a begger but my family has lost a lot of income to help me through this not so nice journey through life and I think that at the end of it I will come out a stronger person. Love all the kind people in this world. xo
