Letters to Heaven

Donation protected
The morning after Mother's Day I walked outside to find two Mother's Day balloons with three notes attached resting in my yard. I brought them inside and took the attached pictures as I knew that these had to be letters to heaven.

I felt very intrusive but felt the need to find out where they had come from.  Before I revealed the letters I googled how far two mylar balloons could travel in a day.  It varied of course, but I did find someone that said they set one loose and it was discovered over 600 miles away.

After reading the letters I knew I had my work cut out for me.  There were very little clues in the letters as to who this family was or where they were but I knew I had to help.  One of the letters told the mother that they did not have the money to bury her.

I brought this project into work with me today and our leader "The Hammer" told me to do my thing in finding this family.  Gotta love the internet!  I did find information and spoke to the funeral home.  The balloon message either came north from Escondido (35 miles) or south from Moreno Valley (36 miles), either way it landed in my yard for a reason - I have generous friends, coworkers and family.

This Mother passed away on May 5, 2014 at the age of 42 and her daughters are trying to find the money to bury her.  No family should ever be in this position.

Please help us reach our goal of helping these three kids give their mother a proper burial where they can honor her for the life they shared.
