Me vs Lymphoma (Help if you can!)

Donation protected

Hi my name is Angelo Sisneros, 33 years young. On February 21 of this year I was diagnosed with B cell type Lymphoma. Days before that, I noticed a small lump on my neck that grew daily to a point where I seeked medical attention. Thinking not too much of it, little did I know my world would be turned upside down that day. After the medical team discovered it was cancer at the aggresive rate it was growing I was given  6 months to live unless intervined with high doses of chemotherapy. That same day I was injected with a toxic regiment of chemo (R-CHOP), keep in mind they were protected head to toe with garments so they werent exposed to what was being pumped into my body. I was terrified!
Most of all I struggled with the idea of me not being here for my family to support them spiritually, emotionally, and financially. Two months prior I took a risk to change my employment to find something more suitable to utilize my skills. I had to start through an agency therefore I wasn't insured or covered under F.M.L.A. My job let me go as soon as I told them I had cancer.  The worst part was was explaining to my kids I might die and it was heartbreaking. Every three weeks chemo was administered and the side effects were excruciating and my body was deteriating rapidly. The effects did more then kill cancer it also damaged my spleen, gall bladder, liver, and immune system. This roller coaster of my life continued nearly six months doing my best to remain positive. Without the supporting cast of loved ones through prayer and faith it would seem impossible to recover, I am blessed! Two weeks ago I was told any more chemo would ultimately kill me however a PT scan revealed I was in remission and chemo wasn't necessary at this point, Thank God!!! However through this trial I was left with other health issues and financial instability. I have plenty of more doctor visits and medications in my near future that I need to get better and survive. One medication alone is 4500 dollars that keeps from bleeding to death internally. I am grateful medicaid has covered some of the costs but that doesnt pay rent or feed my family. My unemployment ran out August 15th, 2017 and even with my wife working we're at our wits end. I am currently seeking employment but that will take away my medicaid that has a required spend down of 1100 dollars before they will cover any medical expenses.  And because of my unemployment I didn't qualify for any other services. We havent been able to pay utilties for August so Im expecting some shut off notices with Septembers rent due. I was barely able to pay my rent for August with the donations I  received to date. Thank you all so much!
This experience has been a rude awakening and I have a better sense of appreciation. I am fortunate enough to be given another chance and it won't be taken for granted. This may sound weird but in alot of ways cancer saved my life. I can't rembember the last time I was genuinely happy as I am now. I am ready to live a positive, healthy life and hopefully inspire others with love and kindness. I know everyone struggles in life, with that said I am putting my pride aside and asking for help and will be forever grateful as we should be for eachother. Anything helps including prayers and best wishes. Thank you for taking the time to read this, I kindly ask if you can share with others however you may. Remember kind acts and being humble goes a long way. Stay positive and true. Thanks again.

Sincerely,
Angelo, Wendy, Jasen, Nevaeh, Nakai and, Keeno.
