Let's Help the Webb Family

Hi all, My name is Molly and I am one of Katie’s very close cousins. I felt compelled to start something for Katie and Scott because I know this is not something they would normally do for themselves.

As most of you know, Scott became very ill, very suddenly which landed him in the hospital with a plethora of unforeseen medical issues, with Sepsis, Myocarditis and loss of kidney function being the most serious. He was an otherwise healthy 32 year old who, in a matter of days, found himself fighting for his life. He spent 18 days in the hospital with more than half of them on life support in the Dickson Heart Intensive Care Unit at CMC-Main. While most of his vital organs repaired themselves and are back to functioning, we are uncertain as to what kind of long term damage this has done to Scott's heart; that test will be done soon.

Fortunately, Scott was discharged from the hospital on Monday afternoon (October 1) and was very excited to be home with his wife, Katie, and 17 month old daughter, Ryleigh. He still has a very long road to recovery, but anyone who knows him knows he has the faith and strength to make a full recovery. However, after being very relieved to get back home, they had a scare that ended them back in the ER the next morning which was thankfully resolved in a few hours.

Unfortunately, the story doesn't stop there. Within hours of getting back home from the ER, their family got more terrible news with a phone call from Scott's employer, informing him that they were letting him go, effective immediately. So too goes his health insurance.  As you can imagine, the stress and worry began piling up as to how they will not only pay for his medical bills but now the normal, monthly bills of mortgage, utilities, child care, groceries, etc. until Scott has recovered and is able to go out and look for another job.

As I said before, I am asking this for them because I know they wouldn't ask for themselves so, if you are willing and able and feel led to donate to the Webb family to help them through this troubling time, please do so, as every little bit helps! I know the appreciation and gratitude will be insurmountable.

In conclusion, I know it’s through answered prayers and Scott’s "strong as an ox" mentality that he made it out of this alive and it's through God’s grace that they will get through this hurdle as well!
