Let's help Luna Walk again

    Miss Luna was found on the side of the road in Mississippi.  She was unable to walk thus dragging herself to find protection.  At the time she was found we thought she was going to need to be put down, but to our suprise she is a survivor! 

  She was original thought to be a viable candidate for surgery, but after a visit to the top neuro specialist in LA, she is not a viable candidate after all so we start down the path of rehabilitation.

    Since finding Luna in Mississippi she has taken her first flight and landed in Los Angeles.  She is currently undergoing treatment for Heartworm, Ear infection and UTI infection.  Our next steps will be getting her spayed so she is ready for her forever home.  

    In the interim of her treatment plan, we are working with a laser treatment to help promote cell growth within her hind legs.  Praying that this will give her some more mobility.  

    The good thing is that Luna is pain free, from what we can tell.  She has a wonderful demeaner that's great with kids and other animals.  She shows no signs of food aggression but does have an incontinence issue.  With rehabilitation we are hoping to help her gain more control of her continence.
