For anyone who doesn't know Julia, she is my perfect baby sister. Within the most recent months building up to her diagnosis- Julia began getting colds frequently. Nothing out of the ordinary. Your average cough &/or fever with a side of exhaustion that was quickly fixed with an antibiotic. After a few months of this becoming consistent- Julia's doctor recommended she get blood work done. Results showed a VERY high count of White Blood Cells, immediately setting off an alarm.
At the young age of just 20 years old, Julia has been diagnosed with Acute B Cell Lymphoblastic Leukemia - also known as ALL. Aside from this diagnosis, as if one wasn't enough, she was also diagnosed with Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis - also known as HLH. The combination of these two diseases is a rare one, which makes Julia's case that much more unique. She has undergone a little over a month of a combination of different Steroids and Chemotherapy and currently remains an inpatient at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital in New York City. The entirety of her treatment will be about 2 years. We hope that within the second month into her diagnosis, she will be able to move back into the comfort of her home and switch over to the life of an outpatient- having to visit the hospital for treatments 2-3 days a week.
Julia has her entire life ahead of her. As much of a challenge this situation has brought, it will never define her- ONLY delay her.
As she fights this unbelievably hard battle against Leukemia, the least i can do aside from being there for her every step of the way- is to help raise money for her and my family for when these hospital bills begin piling up. Being a Mother who's world revolves around her children, my mom took a leave from her current job to stay with my sister at all times, to ensure that she never has to face one moment of this alone. Which I am sure you could imagine takes a toll on my families financial situation. My Father, being my father, has not stopped working throughout all of this- according to my sassy yet humorous sister he needs to "bring home the dough" .

Please help me to make this overwhelmingly impossible experience just a LITTLE bit more bearable by donating to an amazing cause.
To know my sister, is to love her. Join us in this fight to a Cancer Free future. I thank you all so much. LETS GO #TeamJules
