Sometime in October 2016, my sister in law in the Philippines has been diagnosed with Adenocarcinoma. Adenocarcinoma, is a type of cancer that starts in the glands that line the inside of the organs. She has gone through different treatments such as radiotherapy and chemotherapy. She was declared clear in February this year. Unfortunately, in just a span of three months, the cancer came back. She needed to go through a total hysterectomy to prevent the cancer from further metastasis. The agony does not end there, the tumors began forming in other areas of her lower extremities and heavy doses of chemotherapy will be required even before any surgery can take place. Marion is a mother of two beautiful girls. She is very young, vibrant, full of life and was blessed with a heart of gold. Lately, all the medical bills are piling up. Having cancer treatment in the Philippines is a luxury that only the rich can afford. With her second round of cancer, every chemo session will cost her P150,000 which is equivalent to $4000 AUD.
