<div>Angela Post is a vibrant, fun, creative, successful marketing strategist who lives in POLAND and <strong>was recently diagnosed with an AVM brain malformation (November 2024). </strong>

<div><strong>THE DIAGNOSIS</strong>
</div>
<div>AVM stands for Arteriovenous Malformation which can be described as <strong>a group of tangled blood vessels that create irregular connections between arteries and veins.</strong> 
</div>

<div>These tangles disrupt blood flow and prevent tissues from receiving oxygen. Because, veins are depleted in oxygen and aretries are rich in oxygen …. these complicated highways in the body CANNOT ever mix, mingle, tangle or merge together.

<div><strong>Angela, after tests and trial embolizations, has learned that she is living with a “ticking bomb” where she can have a brain bleed at any moment. </strong>

<div>Angela, who is only 45, may have had this in her brain for a few years already without knowing it.

<div>Most AVMS go undetected until there is a brain bleed… and it is too late.

<div>Luckily, Angela had severe headaches and other symptoms like dizziness and blurred vision that lead to the battery of tests and the exploratory surgeries to put scopes in her brain.

<div>Her friend Christina who lives in ITALY was there to support Angela and her husband Simon in December and March during the brain scope embolization attempts.

<div>In March, the doctors had to stop the procedure as they realized that the tangles were deeper into the cranium than they had predicted and his team and equipment were not prepared for the gravity of her case despite the preliminary tests last fall. Christina was there with Angela’s husband (and her good friend) Simon <strong>when the Doctor said Angela was inoperable.</strong>

<div>After meeting with her team of neurosurgeons she has learned that <strong>there are ONLY TWO CLINICS in the world who are experts in successfully operating AVMs.</strong>

<div>Angela, Simon and her Friends in France, Italy, the UK and the US immediately rallied together get all the paperwork ready, including the imaging discs, the timeline of the visits and interventions and paid the expensive consulting fees  to send everything and make appointments with the <strong>Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, Arizona and directly with Dr. Aaron Cohen-Gadol of the Neurosurgical Atlas in Los Angeles, California.</strong>

<div>Angela is a successful Marketing Strategist and had recently been picked up by an important European Multi-National corporation.

<div>In fact, she started with her new position in early 2024 where she was quickly doing very well working with many important labels.

<div>Sadly, when she received the AVM diagnosis and needed time off from work. This ultimately led to that first year contact not being renewed. She got sick. The company let her go.

Today, due to the diagnosis, she has had to stop riding and also took the difficult decision to sell her horse. Luckily, the new owner is nearby and so she can visit “AWE” when she needs to stroke, touch and hug her horse.

<div>She spends time with her husband Simon who is an International Business Analyst. Simon has a flexible work life but has also taken off considerable time from the future projects to help with Angela and researching all the medical options.

<div>They both have many friends world wide who are a part of “Team Angela”… friends are coming together to help from France, the UK, Italy, Germany and in the U.S.-

<div>Angela has always been a special support to her sister who has a special needs son and on a weekly basis tutors her nephew. In fact, she is that sort of person who has tons of energy for others and this illness has really limited her energy and that is the hardest part for Angela who simply wants to be there for her family.
