Let’s RIGHT a Wrong in Lincoln NE

On Friday, July 19, Jeremy Williams, an African American teacher in LPS who moonlights as an Uber/Lyft driver, was called to pick up a passenger in Northeast Lincoln. The passenger never emerged. Instead, four or five males in their late teens or early 20s came out of two cars, one car from from that address, approached his car, and told him that he didn’t belong in “their” neighborhood. When Jeremy refused their request to “leave the neighborhood”, they started kicking his car, breaking a mirror, damaging a window, and leaving a sizable dent on the side.

While nothing can make up for the despicable words and actions of the “men” involved, we can make a start at setting things right by raising money to help Jeremy cover the deductible and other expenses related to fixing his car. This is a small way you can send a message that behavior like this is unacceptable and will not be tolerated in Lincoln, Nebraska.
