Let's Plant 1000 trees

Hello, my name is Monica. I'm originally from Colombia, and I have lived in Canada for 5 years.

I fell in love with Winnipeg when I met its trees. Hundreds and hundreds of histories in each of them.

The streets call themselves by their name cottonwood, Elm, Lilac, Maple, etc. I live in Seven Oaks...

However, I see them sick. Just in my street, 10 trees have gone. I have watched how the city must cut them down so they can prevent the spread of their disease.

Also, these mornings the air is full of smoke from far away places that have watched their trees burned.

So we got together, neighbours, TRASMUTA, CAMI, S.O.L.A. Winnipeg and with the help from Tree Canada, Trees of Winnipeg, and the program Million Tree challenge we want to plant as many trees as possible.

It's pretty simple to help: Let's plant a tree together.

• It does not matter if you do it by yourself in your private property (either in Winnipeg or in any other place), send us a picture.
• You help by volunteering for the event,
• Let us plant on your property and provide care for new trees.
• Donate money so we can purchase some trees.

Together we can plant many trees to get the goal of 1 million. The money is needed before August 28/ 2021
