Let's make Jimena's dream come true

I created this Go Fund Me campaign to help someone who deserves it. My girlfriend, who desperately wants to finish her university studies. She’s a very smart, kind-hearted, and talented person. However, her economic and health situations have put her in a position where it is hard to continue paying for the full tuition fees in uni. But, before you move to another campaign, let me tell you a little about her and you will see how important and valuable this cause is.

Her name is Jimena, she is a Colombian young woman who came to Australia to study for her master's degree in the field of health sciences. Due to various health conditions (dysautonomia, anemia, unstable angina, and depression), it has been difficult for her to be accepted into physically demanding jobs, which are the jobs she can aspire to while she is still a full-time student. Despite these difficulties, she dedicates herself to working as a domestic cleaner and home masseuse to pay for her studies.

In the time that I have known her, I have learned from her that despite the difficult situations people go through, there is always a way to continue being helpful to others. She is a sweet woman, who puts the well-being and happiness of others above hers. She is someone who shows me every day that with just a few words of empathy we can help someone in trouble. Jimena does everything to be kind, even to those who hurt her, and always invites those around her to look at the general landscape and not the black cloud that every now and then appears in the painting that is each person.

She shows me hope in people even in times as dark as the ones we live in right now with conflicts between nations, teaching me kindness and nobility. Now she is in a difficult situation financially and, because of the pandemic and its lockdowns, it has been even more challenging to save the money needed to pay for her university tuition fees. I ask you today to help someone who on countless occasions has helped others, even when doing so was not convenient at all, for her finances or for her own health.

Jimena is a person who has until now continued her studies despite the difficulties. Her greatest dream is to be able to complete her master's degree in laboratory medicine and thus, with the knowledge acquired, be able to continue helping others. I share this small part of her story so that you can get to know her and know, as I do, that she is a good person, a tireless helper that now, in turn, needs help. And that you, who are reading this today, could help her achieve her goal.

Creé esta campaña Go Fund Me para ayudar a alguien que lo merece. Mi novia quien profundamente desea terminar sus estudios universitarios. Ella es una persona muy inteligente, bondadosa y talentosa. Sin embargo, su situación económica y de salud la han puesto en una posición en la que es difícil seguir pagando la matrícula completa en la universidad. Pero, antes de pasar a otra campaña, déjame contarte un poco sobre ella y verás lo importante y valiosa que es esta causa.

Su nombre es Jimena, es una joven colombiana que vino a Australia a estudiar su maestría en el campo de las ciencias de la salud. Debido a diversas condiciones de salud (disautonomía, anemia, angina inestable y depresión), le ha resultado difícil ser aceptada en trabajos físicamente exigentes, que son los trabajos a los que puede aspirar mientras aún es estudiante de tiempo completo. A pesar de estas dificultades, se dedica a trabajar como limpiadora doméstica y masajista a domicilio para poder pagar sus estudios.

En el tiempo que la he conocido, he aprendido de ella que a pesar de las situaciones difíciles por las que pasan las personas, siempre hay una manera de ayudar a los demás. Es una mujer dulce, que pone el bienestar y la felicidad de otros por encima del suyo, ella me demuestra todos los días que con solo unas pocas palabras de empatía podemos ayudar a alguien en problemas. Jimena hace todo por ser amable, incluso con quienes la lastiman, y siempre invita a quienes la rodean a mirar el paisaje general y no la nube negra, que cada tanto aparece, en la obra de arte que es cada persona.

Ella me demuestra que aun hay esperanza, incluso en tiempos tan oscuros como los que vivimos ahora con conflictos entre naciones, enseñándome lo grande que es la bondad y el poder que tiene perdonar a quienes nos dañan. Ahora ella se encuentra en una situación financiera difícil y, debido a la pandemia y los confinamientos, ha sido aún más complicado ahorrar el dinero necesario para pagar la matrícula universitaria. Te pido hoy que ayudes a alguien que en innumerables ocasiones ha ayudado a otros, aun cuando hacerlo no le convenía en absoluto, ni por su economía ni por su propia salud.

Jimena es una persona que hasta ahora ha continuado sus estudios a pesar de las dificultades. Su mayor sueño es poder finalizar su maestría en medicina de laboratorio y así, con los conocimientos adquiridos, poder seguir ayudando a los demás. Comparto esta pequeña parte de su historia para que la conozcan y sepan, como yo, que es una buena persona, una ayudante incansable que ahora necesita ayuda y que tú, que estás leyendo esto hoy, podrías ayudarla a lograr su objetivo.
