LET'S HELP THE HEART OF MALLKU

Hello family, my name is Antay. Many of you may know me for my work at Gaia Sagrada Retreat Center where I've been firekeeping in ceremonies and performing energy cleansings for the past year, since October 2021. This work has changed my life, and given me the ability to provide for my family, and most importantly, to cover the expenses of my son Mallku's surgeries.

Our son Mallku was born with congenital heart disease, a cleft palate and lip, and testicular malformation. His congenital heart defects, in particular, are life threatening. Due to these conditions, ventricular septal defect and patent ductus arteriosus, Mallku has two holes in his heart, the largest of which is 8mm. This condition is worsening as he matures, and the holes in his heart are increasing in size. Mallku needs an open heart surgery to repair the holes.

Time is of the essence. If left untreated, Mallku’s diseases will progressively damage his lungs, and leave him susceptible to life-threatening heart failure.

Mallku is now 2 years old, and this condition has severely compromised his quality of life,

because his body is not developing normally and does not allow him to gain weight. In his short life, Mallku has had 3 invasive surgeries. Within the last year he has been in and out of surgery 2 separate times.

Although we have struggled, we have been able to cover the expenses for his 3 prior surgeries, but the upcoming surgeries are by far the most critical to his well being. These however, are financially out of reach.

My partner Chandra and I come to you in a great time of need. We have started this fundraiser in the hopes that you will help us fund this open heart surgery for our only child, Mallku. This is our only hope at giving him a normal life, and we need your help.

Sustaining his life and paving the way for his healing has been an arduous journey. For this last stage of the process, we are sincerely asking for the financial help of the whole family, since the costs of this surgery are very high and we cannot cover them on our own.

As parents, the most important thing is Mallku's well-being; this surgery will help him have the full life he deserves.
