<div>Bear and I have been together three years now and life has been so extraordinarily wonderful. He came to me when I needed a soft cushion of emotional support &amp; love. <br />He loves his sun rays, blueberries, bellies, and giving out kisses. <br /> thank you for taking the time to read what’s been going on in our life. Poor pup can’t catch a break…

<div>unfortunately bear has been diagnosed with Lumbosacral stenosis. 
</div>

<div>it’s a disease that affects the spinal cord and the nerves around the area where the spinal column meets the pelvis (low down in the back near the tail, where the lumbar spine meet the sacrum at the level of the pelvis)
</div>

<div>A physical exam confirmed a herniated disc &amp; a sedated X ray revealed calcification in the discs in his sacrum. <br /> He was given an injection for pain as well as anti inflammatory &amp; pain meds to go home with &amp; to be crated for 5-6 weeks.
</div>

<div>Even after being given all required medication doses he is showing extreme discomfort. He has trouble standing, walking &amp; at times he cannot stand at all.
</div>

<div>The amount for an MRI &amp; the surgery is daunting and I never imagined being in this position. It’s a very painful condition &amp; potentially life threatening (paralysis) and the procedures cannot be done unless funds are in hand.
</div>

<div>i was quoted around 4-5k for an MRI &amp; around 10k for the surgery. The surgical cost isn’t definite as the cost depends on how many discs are affected. This will help bear start a road to a healthy recovery and get him walking again. 
</div>

<div>I hesitated to create a fund raiser but wasn’t going to let pride stand in the way of my his life. Bear is my best friend, and is such a snuggler to so many…as sweet as they come.
</div>

<div>I know that many people have their own financial burdens, especially during this time. I have now exhausted all of my funds, i’m okay with that. My purpose is to help Bear, to save him like he saved me, I will not stop. He is my partner in crime, my little shoulder to cry on and to he brought me back to life! 
</div>
