<div>Ognjen je dečak koji je već u prvom danu života primljen na odeljenje neonatologije UDK usled kožnih promena po tipu bulozne epidermolize (Q81.9 Epidermolysis bulossa, non specificata), u javnosti poznatog kao bolest „dece leptira“.

<div>Ognjen je rođen bez kože na nogama, njegov imuni sistem je oslabljen uprkos suplementaciji, jer ne unosi čvrstu hranu i sklon je infekcijama zbog otvorenih rana. Usled oštećenja sluzokože, tri puta je imao diletaciju jednjaka i usled bolova u nogama otežano se kreće i brzo umara. Da bi imao adekvatnu negu, tretiranje rana, skidanje viška kože i previjanje zavojima koje mora neprekidno da nosi traje i po četiri sata ujutru i uveče nakon kupanja.

Američka kompanija „Krystal Biotech“ proizvela je lek „<strong>Vyuvek</strong>“ koji sprečava infekcije rana, zatvara ih i odlaže njihovo širenje, poboljšava imuni sistem i produžava život deci oboleloj od bulozne epidermolize.
