<div>Kamylla Monteiro is a 33 year old girl who just had her whole world turned upside down right after last Thanksgiving. She had to be taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami by her newlywed husband to receive the devastating diagnosis of Stage 4 Colon-rectal cancer with metastasis to her ovaries.

<div>She was admitted and had to stay in the hospital for 2 weeks to recover from an emergency surgery because she had a severe rectal occlusion. The doctors were able to extract a 19 cm tumor found in intestines, <span>her two ovariers that had already bursted, her fallopian tubes, and they were also able to fix her rectum without leaving her with a colostomy bag!!! </span>

<div>Mylla is originally from Brazil and her whole family lives there, she means the world to her big sisters and her mother, and they are devasted that they cannot stay in Miami during her whole fight.

<div>She started her first round of chemotherapy last week and it has hit her pretty hard. She’s been dealing with a lot of adverse effects. She still has a long fight ahead of her and she nees our help!

<div>She had just gotten her permission to work in the United States and she was very excited about contributing financially since her husband was the first and only provider at their house.

<div>She was diagnosed days after she just had started to work on her first job and her boss encouraged to go get checked since her abdomen was swollen and tender.

<div>Kamylla Monteiro tem apenas 33 anos e recentemente sua vida virou de cabeça para baixo. Logo após o feriado de Ação de Graças, Kamylla teve que ser levada a médicos e hospitais em Miami com o abdômen bastante distendido para receber a terrível notícia que uma pessoa da idade dela jamais pensa em receber, um câncer de 19 cm em estágio 4, já avançado, com metástase nos ovários. Pelo fato de seu reto também ter sido estrangulado pelo tamanho do tumor, ela se submeteu à uma cirurgia de emergência no dia 8 de dezembro de 2021. Depois de 2 semanas se recuperando no hospital, inciou o primeiro ciclo de uma fortíssima quimioterapia que serão repetidas sessões pelos próximos meses.

<div>A família de Mylla se encontra em Recife e ela é tudo para sua mãe e suas irmãs mais velhas. Pela distância e valores do dolar, elas não poderão acompanhá-la fisicamente nessa longa e dura jornada. E os poucos amigos que fazemos nessa terra são os que nos restam. Nós contamos com vocês!
