Hi, my name is Victor Nava, and today I’m reaching out for help for the most important person in my life: my mom.

Almost a year ago, I received devastating news that turned our world upside down—my mom, was diagnosed with duodenal cancer, a rare and challenging illness. Despite the pain and uncertainty, she refuses to give up. Every day, she shows us her courage and determination to keep fighting.

The treatments, surgeries, and medications needed to combat this disease are incredibly expensive. Unfortunately, the situation in our country, Venezuela, has only made things harder: the healthcare system is in shambles, and medical options are not only limited but also scarce. My mom urgently needs access to better treatment, which might be possible in Germany, where I’ve emigrated. However, before she can consider relocating, she needs to recover enough to make the journey safely.

As a family, we’ve done everything in our power to cover the costs. I’ve been able to finance most of her treatment so far, but the hard truth is: it’s not enough. That’s why we’re turning to you—our community, friends, acquaintances, and even kind strangers who may feel moved to help.

Every contribution, no matter how small, means the world to us. It’s not just financial support—it’s also a message of hope and solidarity for my mom. Yadira is her name, and while being my mom makes her extraordinary to me, anyone who knows her will tell you the same: she’s kind, courageous, and truly a lovely person. Hola, mi nombre es Víctor Nava, y hoy recurro a ustedes en busca de ayuda para la persona más importante en mi vida: mi mamá.

Hace casi un año recibí una noticia devastadora que cambió nuestro mundo por completo, mi mamá, fue diagnosticada con cáncer de duodeno, una enfermedad rara y muy desafiante. A pesar del dolor y la incertidumbre, ella se niega a rendirse. Cada día nos demuestra su valentía y su determinación para seguir luchando.

Los tratamientos, cirugías y medicamentos necesarios para combatir esta enfermedad son increíblemente costosos. Desafortunadamente, la situación en nuestro país, Venezuela, ha hecho todo más difícil: el sistema de salud está colapsado, y las opciones médicas no solo son limitadas, sino también escasas. Mi mamá necesita urgentemente acceso a un mejor tratamiento, algo que podría ser posible en Alemania, donde he emigrado. Sin embargo, antes de poder considerar migrar, ella necesita recuperarse lo suficiente para que el viaje sea seguro.

Como familia, hemos hecho todo lo que está en nuestras manos para cubrir los gastos. Yo he logrado financiar la mayor parte de su tratamiento hasta ahora, pero la dura realidad es que no es suficiente. Por eso, recurrimos a ustedes: nuestra comunidad, amigos, conocidos e incluso desconocidos de buen corazón que puedan sentirse conmovidos para ayudar.

Cada contribución, por pequeña que sea, significa el mundo para nosotros. No es solo apoyo financiero, también es un mensaje de esperanza y solidaridad para mi mamá. Su nombre es Yadira, y aunque ser mi mamá ya la hace extraordinaria para mí, cualquiera que la conoce les diría lo mismo: es una persona amable, valiente y realmente encantadora. Vor fast einem Jahr erhielt ich eine erschütternde Nachricht, die unsere Welt komplett auf den Kopf stellte: meine Mutter, wurde mit Duodenal-Krebs diagnostiziert, einer seltenen und herausfordernden Krankheit. Trotz der Schmerzen und Unsicherheiten weigert sie sich aufzugeben. Jeden Tag zeigt sie uns ihren Mut und ihre Entschlossenheit, weiterzukämpfen.

Die Behandlungen, Operationen und Medikamente, die zur Bekämpfung dieser Krankheit erforderlich sind, sind unglaublich teuer. Leider hat die Situation in unserem Land, Venezuela, alles noch schwieriger gemacht: Das Gesundheitssystem ist am Zusammenbruch, und medizinische Optionen sind nicht nur begrenzt, sondern auch äußerst knapp. Meine Mutter benötigt dringend Zugang zu einer besseren Behandlung, was möglicherweise hier in Deutschland, wohin ich ausgewandert bin, möglich wäre. Allerdings muss sie sich zunächst ausreichend erholen, damit die Reise sicher für sie ist.

Als Familie haben wir alles in unserer Macht Stehende getan, um die Kosten zu decken. Ich habe bisher den Großteil ihrer Behandlung finanzieren können, aber die harte Wahrheit ist: Es reicht nicht. Deshalb wenden wir uns an euch – unsere Gemeinschaft, Freunde, Bekannte und sogar freundliche Fremde, die bereit sind zu helfen.

Jeder Beitrag, egal wie klein, bedeutet uns die Welt. Es geht nicht nur um finanzielle Unterstützung, sondern auch um eine Botschaft der Hoffnung und Solidarität für meine Mutter. Ihr Name ist Yadira, und auch wenn sie für mich als meine Mutter etwas ganz Besonderes ist, würde jeder, der sie kennt, dasselbe sagen: Sie ist eine freundliche, mutige und wirklich wunderbare Person. Sie verdient jedes Quäntchen Glück, das sie bekommen kann.
