Let’s Help Jerome While Battling Cancer!
Donation protected
Jerome Gallegos,
is our nephew, our cousin,
our dad, our son, our uncle and our friend.
He is 42
Ever since Jerome was born he and my sister Loretta have been (two peas in a pod:) -Inseparable-
Jerome is Loretta’s world, her only son.
Jerome was recently diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic kidney cancer. Metastatic indicates cancer has spread to another part of his body or has affected more than one lymph node.
You can imagine the devastating news! It really is like being in a nightmare that you can’t wake up from. But we know the strength of both Loretta and Jerome and we all know that he will beat this!
Jerome has 3 children:
Michael 21
Dante’ 18
Rome’ 10
These children are Jerome’s world!!
Michael is a Mechanical Technician at the Santa Fe place, in Santa Fe, NM.
Dante’ is set to graduate this year from high school in Rio Rancho, NM.
Rome’ only 10 attends grade school in Santa Fe, NM.
Jerome has worked for a number of years as a certified nurse assistant transporter for the disabled community as well as the elderly and mentally challenged.
What a compassionate and patient young man Jerome is. As we all know it takes a special person to take care of our elderly population and Jerome’s ability to do so shows what a giving person he is as well as a helper. He didn’t have trouble doing so, in fact, he didn’t just take care of people, he loved the people he was caring for. “They just loved Jerome to pieces”, is what Loretta says.
“Everyone wanted Jerome to transport them!“ Maybe it was because he always showed up with McDonald’s cheeseburgers or Dunkin Donuts. But really we know that is not why they loved Jerome; it was because Jerome has that gift of giving and sharing with people and helping people. After all Jerome is a people person ….he loves and cares for people.
Jerome’s ultimate goal and ambition though, was to work for himself and run his own business. And sure enough he reached his goal when he opened his own business Alltyme Transporting in 2021. Jerome was ecstatic to begin to travel transporting rv’s and trailers. He made several runs across the country over the last year.
Unfortunately, that is when tragedy struck this year May 2022 when his diagnosis came back positive for metastatic kidney cancer.
Sadly, in an instant Jerome and mom Loretta went from a two person income to one. What a blow and shock to the family! And to all who love and cherish them so much!
Jerome has always been strong, since little and a fighter and we know he will fight his way to save his life.
Sometimes we all need a little help along the way. Although neither Jerome nor his mom Loretta like to ask for help, we are moved to ask for them.
The expense of running a household with just one income, for the both of them is very stressful and an unmanageable challenge to bear.
Jerome has begun his costly cancer treatment.
And so we are asking for donations to help out with the day to day expenses, monthly expenses, and any uncovered treatment, for Jerome and Loretta’s family.
Anything will help alleviate some of the pressure for both Loretta and Jerome.
For those of us who have experienced this, we know just how difficult cancer is to bear. It is one of the scariest words in our vocabulary and although treatments are making great strides, there may always be extenuating circumstances.
Therefore, we are working at taking it one day at a time; after all that is all we can do.
Jerome is undergoing treatment, and has a long road ahead of him. And that being said, Loretta and the boys also have a long road ahead.
Let us please help in any way we can, so that we can reach our initial goal and in turn to somewhat alleviate the burden for Jerome and Loretta of having to make ends meet.
Cancer is very difficult to go through and having to worry about unmanageable finances to carry, along with the shock of knowing you or your loved one has cancer, makes it even more difficult to bear.
ALL CONTRIBUTIONS AND DONATIONS ARE HUMBLY ACCEPTED WITH GREAT APPRECIATION!!!
Sincerely, Jerome and Loretta’s family
