<div>Gilda is one of the two cats who live at Natural Center in Sámara, Costa Rica. For years, she has been part of this place, accompanying the daily life of the people who work there and of the visitors who pass by.

<div>Recently, Gilda’s life changed. She was attacked by a dog and suffered a serious fracture in one of her hind legs. Since then, watching her try to move and endure the pain has been very difficult for everyone who knows her.
</div>

<div>Veterinarians have determined that she needs surgery to repair the injury and give her the best chance of recovery. The cost of the operation is approximately ₡750,000 Costa Rican colones, but we also need to cover transportation, medication, food during her recovery, and follow-up care. That is why we have set a goal of €2,000.

<div>What is especially heartbreaking is that the dog’s owner has not taken responsibility for what happened. Although some people have contributed what they can to help Gilda, we still need to raise a significant amount to ensure she receives the treatment she needs.

<div>Gilda has spent years living in this place. She is part of its history and its community. We do not want a tragedy like this to take away her chance to recover and continue enjoying life.

<div>Gilda es una de las dos gatas que viven en Natural Center, en Sámara, Costa Rica. Durante años ha sido parte de este lugar, acompañando la vida diaria de quienes trabajan allí y de las personas que lo visitan.

<div>Hace poco, la vida de Gilda cambió por completo. Fue atacada por un perro y sufrió una grave fractura en una de sus patas traseras. Desde entonces, verla intentar moverse y soportar el dolor ha sido muy difícil para todos los que la conocen.

<div>Los veterinarios han determinado que necesita una cirugía para reparar la lesión y darle la mejor oportunidad de recuperación. El costo de la operación es de aproximadamente ₡750.000 colones costarricenses, pero también debemos cubrir los gastos de transporte, medicamentos, alimentación durante su recuperación y los cuidados posteriores. Por eso hemos establecido una meta de 2.000 €.

<div>Lo más triste es que el propietario del perro no ha asumido ninguna responsabilidad por lo sucedido. Aunque algunas personas ya han aportado lo que han podido para ayudar a Gilda, todavía necesitamos reunir una cantidad importante para garantizar que reciba el tratamiento que necesita.

<div>Gilda ha pasado años viviendo en este lugar. Es parte de su historia y de su comunidad. No queremos que una tragedia como esta le quite la oportunidad de recuperarse y seguir disfrutando de la vida.
