<div>In January, <strong>Dee Mason had emergency surgery to remove a mass that was wrapped around her spinal cord.</strong> It is breast cancer that has metastasized. Two weeks later, she had another emergency surgery on her spinal cord due to a severe infection deep in the cord and also in the bloodstream. Four days later, she was rushed back in for another surgery due to more infection. <strong>The day after surgery, she woke up paralyzed from her mid-back to her toes.</strong> Slowly, she is regaining movement and feeling. In February, she had ten rounds of radiation on the brain. Radiation on the spine will start in June. She is going to physical therapy three times a week. The hospital bills are piling in. PT is $60.00 per session.
