Let's help Dane Foster & family.

On Tuesday night July 18th during a men's softball game in Fort McMurray Dane was hit in the eye area by a line drive while playing 3rd base. He was air lifted to Edmonton early Wednesday morning and still remains in hospital. He has multiple injuries in and around the eye, all money raised will help Dane and his family during the long road to recovery. Let's show some support for a fellow softballer, any donation is greatly appreciated!



Update from Danes wife Alexis who will be accepting all the funds that were raised:
Dane was airlifted to the Royal Alex Hospital in Edmonton on July 19th. While there he underwent surgery in his eye to repair the eye. The primary goal was to stitch the eye back together and to keep the eye for now. The prognosis from his medical team is that he will be able to see some shapes.
Dane will continue to be monitored by the retina surgeons in Edmonton to ensure that his retina remains attached. He has a lot of blood on his eye and will need to wait until that clears until another surgery takes place. He will need a new lens and a cornea transplant as well down the road. The plastic surgeons are keeping close watch on his facial bones to ensure they heal properly and they will perform surgery if necessary.
We are hoping that he will be released from the hospital tomorrow once his pain is better managed.
As Dane recovers and the pain subsides it is good to see his sense of humour return. When asked if he wanted to rent a tv yesterday Dane asked the lady if he would get it for half price because he could only see half of it.
