Let's Help Chris Find HOPE

My name is Barbara and I have created this page for my 27 year old son, Chris. Chris was involved in a very serious motorcycle accident on April 30th.  This accident changed his life in a matter of just seconds. He had Spinal Cord Surgery to repair his vertebrae and several rods inserted into his back He is in a lot of pain, both physically and emotionally, as a result. The sad reality of what we are dealing with is that he is, at the moment, paralyzed from the chest/waist down and cofined to a wheelchair.  Although we have hope to one day see him on his feet again, this is the challenge he is now facing. He has no health insurance and we don't know exactly when he will be able to work again.  As we all know life continues and his expenses, both household and now medical are piling up. I've seen these Go Fund Me requests and never thought, in a million years, I'd be creating one for my youngest son. He will not like the fact that I am making this request, but as his mother I feel I must. He has a long road to recovery and I feel anything donated will be a huge help so that he can focus more on his recovery and less on his financial burdens. I understand we all have financial obligations, and not everyone will be able to make a donation. I am simply asking you to please keep him in your prayers for a full recovery and share this page. I thank you all very much in Advance!
6/2/2017- Update: Chris is overwhelmed and extremeley grateful for the outpour of love and support from everyone--whether it be by donation or through the power of prayer. He has been home for 4 days and is adjusting to his new normal, with his wife and child. He started out-patient physical therapy, yesterday. He is keeping a positive outlook. As his mother, I am also overwhelmed by all of the kind words, messages, and phone calls of encouragement, love, and prayer that I have been receiving. (*the photo below was taken the first day Chris was able to sit in his wheel chair, just two weeks after surgery. I will be updating and loading more pictures, soon.) Thank you for everything.
