Let's help Cassie catch a break!

Have you ever had a time in your life when you felt like you simply just couldn't catch a break?  That is how I feel about my daughter Cassie right now.  Cassie was diagnosed with Hydrocephaltus (fluid on the brain) and had to have brain surgery a few months after my first grandson was born. Cassie has been a trooper trying to have a relatively normal life for her family. Although she would suffer from migraines here and there things were good. After my second grandson was born the migraines were more frequent and severe. Cassie has been diagnosed with a benign brain tumor that is pressing on her optic nerve and the fatigue of the treatments along with the headaches would knock most of us on our butt.

She just can't seem to catch a break. My daughter has been struggling in silence with a brain tumor for several months now. Undergoing various western medicine treatments that have take a toll on her health and well-being. Caring for her two sons and husband is taking its toll. She has been amazing still trying to keep up with everything, but I have noticed a big change in her energy. Although she has even gone to the extent of giving up meat and dairy and trying other forms of self-healing acupuncture it is very hard to stay positive day after day.  She's changed. She's worried about money, health and being here next year.

She is unable to work and although she has insurance the medical bills are overwhelming and stressful to her and the family. This one income family needs to catch a break. My beautiful and loving daughter has a big heart. She sick and she is still active in the community, supporting local community clean-ups, assisting the homeless with care packages, and she helps care for the elderly man and his sister across the street so that they can live independently still.

Cassie has been looking for a natural method to treat the brain tumor, but she has been told that surgery is now necessary for her survival. She needs to raise enough funds to cover the now existing medical bills that are at $4,500.00 today and she needs $2,600.00 to schedule the surgery she needs by this November. No to mention the post surgical home support care she will need.

Before the internet during the time when folks read the newspaper, I heard of a man who couldn't afford to go to college.  Mike Hayes came up with an idea that if he could get enough people to donate just a penny towards his college fund he would be able to pay his way through school. 2.5 million people sent him pennies and in a few months, he had raised the funds to go to college in 1987. Please donate any amount even a single penny can be of help, but if you find yourself not able to help.  Please share this link on your social media accounts with at least 3 people to get the word out so that we can meet our goal of $10,000. by November of 2017. Also if you would like to support in any other way please feel free to contact me via facebook or e-mail.  Please any amount will greatly help.

Thank you for your support may these blessings come back to you tenfold.
