Let's Help Carla and Sol Get Back On Their Feet!!

The quick version!! Carla and her son, Sol have experienced a string of difficult and unfortunate experiences this year that have left them without a home and about about to lose their car. Their car is their lifeline right now and it's all they have left!! They need our help ASAP! Please share what you can! The long version is below! Thank you!!

Hey there! My name is Stacie Jacques and I am so grateful to be able to write to the wide network of beautiful & loving people that know, love and appreciate our dear friend, Carla Delaney and her son, Sol. Some of you may know that in the Spring of this year, Carla and Sol decided to start a brand new life in North Carolina. They planned and saved and prepared . They could not prepare for being scammed though & dealing with a house that was not livable. The conditions were worse than anything they could have imagined. She was able to get some money back but it was not enough to cover all the many expenses they were hit with. They were forced to leave everything behind as their belongings became infested with bedbugs and cockroaches. Nothing was going their way and they had an extremely difficult battle to make enough money to get back to Maine. Carla lost almost everything; including her home, her belongings and her savings.

Life has been hard for both her and her son, Sol. They have been couch surfing and trying to find an apartment in Portland so they can both get FT employment and so Carla can teach full-time again at her home studio in Portland. Finding an apartment has been extremely difficult for a few reasons. 1) There are a limited amount of apartments 2) They require the first and last month's rent and a deposit AND 3) You often need proof of a job. She is literally stuck in this painful limbo. Unfortunately, more problems have risen this week and she needs her community RIGHT NOW. They are about to repossess her car because she has gotten behind on her payments. Carla and Sol are living out of their car and it is the only way she can get to Portland to teach and make money and the only way she will be able to find work and eventually an apartment. Her car is her lifeline right now!

I am a hundred percent positive that if everyone who loves these two amazing humans pitches in a little bit each .. we can raise enough money to help her secure her car, get their phones turned back on and help them secure a home in which to heal and recover from such a difficult year.

Carla is so incredibly loving, generous and supportive to anyone that is lucky enough to be her friend, colleague or student. She has always been brave and always stepped in to empower, support and help those around her. As you can imagine, it is so difficult to let us help her, but I insisted knowing that A) They deserve to be safe and well B) Carla is meant to be teaching and serving her community.. and she cannot do any of that while in survival mode. AND C) They are loved! They are so loved by so many and none of us would want them to continue suffering like this. Love is powerful and potent and healing. I know she would do anything to help a friend.. so I am so grateful to have the chance to help her. She has changed my life for the better in so many ways.. She has loved and supported me and so many others . She is light and compassion in action and she needs us.

I know that these two will pay it forward someday..but for today .. it is their turn to receive! Can you please give what you can? NO amount is too small.
