Lets Help Bring Devon Home

Hello, our names are Anthony and Aniya Russell, and this is our story. During our freshman year in college we had to withdrawal from Radford University to take care of our mother. Our mother suffered a fatal brain injury that resulted in her being incapacitated.  She was in a coma for 6 months, shortly after she slowly started progressing to recover. During the time, my sister and I worked day in and day out to provide for our mother.  Our expenses grew out of control and we did not have any other choice but for us to relocate five hours away from our mother and move in with our father’s mother.  Our mother’s condition progressed and she was sent to a rehabilitation center that was further away from my sister and I.    We travel 10 hours every week to visit our mom and encourage her to keep faith in God and trust that she will get better.   My sister and I work part-time, and we attempt to save every penny to bring our mother home, but it is difficult to do.  After doctors counted her out and told us that we should not get our hopes up about her progression. She has recovered significantly, but she still has a journey to go.  Allowing her to come home can only motivate her to continue to progress. 

We are looking to raise as much money as possible to be able to make our dream of bringing our mother home a reality.  All funds raised will be used for a home for our mother, covering her medical expenses, and other materials needed for her transition.  We would appreciate anything you can give – no donation is too small.  All donations and prayers are greatly appreciated.   Please spread the word and share with others.
