Let's Help Amber Machado Break Even

Donation protected
3-19-17  Pat and Amber returned from Washington driving a clean '74 Chevy. They'd taken out a $10,000.  personal loan to puchase it from Amber's sister who had just lost her husband.
3-20-17 Pat is hospitalized for a bleeding ulcer
3-25-17 Pat is diagnosed with inoperable stage 4 liver cancer and was not a candidate for a transplant or chemo.
5-15-17 Pat goes on end of life Hospice care.  (Amber stops working to care for him at home.)
6-3-17 Pat passes away.

There is no flowery way to tell this story.  It's harsh and it's sad and it was sudden.  In this mere nine and a half weeks from the devistaing  diagnosis to the end of Pat's much too short life  Amber incurred some debt that will be terribly hard to get out of. I'm hopeful that we can all help in some way.
Currently Amber can afford to stay in her home and make her car payment and cover bills and living expenses though it will be tight. Pat was the main caregiver to their 25 year old son Mathew who is autistic and non verbal. They receive SSA and in home support services funding for Mathew.  Amber worked part time but took a leave of absence to care for Pat.  With his passing the checks he recieved monthly stopped. Though she plans to go back to part time work in September, Mathew's care and well being must be her first priority.
With the money that she had to spend and or borrow recently, she's accumulated debt and depleted her account. Our heartfelt objective with this GoFundMe campaign is to bridge that finacial burden gap and help her break even so that she may start budgeting with her new monthly income.

~If we can all give what we can share and then if we can all share this story with those we know, we can do this for Amber. In honor and in respect and in our ever friendship for Pat.

~ Pat's last words to Amber were..."This Sucks!"

~I leave you with this...

"We were two halves that made a whole. I'm lost without my other half"
