This is Yusif Kassim. He is a 44-year-old father of two young children. In December, he was at the hospital I work at every day, visiting his friend who had had a stroke. A month after his friend passed away, Yusif was in a severe car accident and became a patient himself. He sustained a thoracic spinal injury, which left him paralyzed from the waist down. He underwent surgery and spent 5 months in the hospital. He was recently discharged home, but does not have a wheelchair. I have found a used wheelchair for $400 and will have it carried back to Ghana next week. Let’s help get Yusif a wheelchair, get him back to work, and providing for his family.
