Let’s get Tiff well!

My one and only beautiful and fun-loving sister Tiffany was unfortunately diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of breast cancer this past October. As one can imagine, this has really shooken our world. After two surgeries and months of tests, Tiffany is finally able to start chemo January 24, followed by radiation.

Tiffany’s first surgery, a lumpectomy, was the week of Thanksgiving. The week after, the pathology report confirmed the cancer was stage 2, was spreading and in the lymph nodes, and more tissue had to be removed. The second surgery revealed that it was one of the most aggressive forms of cancer, had continued to spread and was in her estrogen and possibly bones, which we are still awaiting to hear after more tests she underwent last week. She was also told there is a high liklihood of this cancer reoccuring once in remission. Ugh... She will have to be closely monitored for at least five to seven years.

For those of you who know Tiffany, she is someone who is truly selfless, always putting her family, friends and work before herself. Her two young boys and husband are her WORLD!!! Tiffany is also someone who is happy-go-lucky, sees the good before bad, is energetic, healthy and a whole lot of fun! This probably explains why Tiffany is rich in friends.

Tiffany’s team of doctors took her off work almost immediately after her diagnosis. While this is great so she can focus on her health, the reality is that she is only earning half her income (disability) while the mortgage, already accumulating medical bills and family demands remain unchanged. That is where she could use some help. Although Tiffany does not want to feel like a charity case, some friends of Tiffany and I have almost convinced her that if at any time in her life she can rely on family and friends, it is NOW. Whether it is a meal, a ride to a medical appointment, a shoulder to cry on, prayers or monetary donations, everything is very much appreciated, and nothing is too small. Any way you can support Tiff in this difficult time is greatly appreciated. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
