Let's Get the Dawouds a Car!

Broaden the Dawoud family's life in Charlottesville, Virginia, with reliable transportation. A car that can safely hold Dad Fayez, Mom Asmaa, and kids Amer (6), Hamza (5) and Dana (2) will mean many things to this family. It will:
* Expand job opportunities for Fayez
* Enable Asmaa to attend English language classes
* Get Dana to preschool 3x a week this fall
* Give the Dawouds independence to arrange and attend medical, dental and social services appointments
* Enrich their family life by opening up access to parks, after-school programs, and community events
The Dawouds are supported by volunteers from the International Rescue Committee and International Neighbors . We are teaching them how to budget for car insurance, repairs and gas.
Fayez earned his Virginia drivers license in early 2018 and has saved $1,000 over 2017 for a car. Our combined donations will help the family purchase one of these used, reliable, safe and family-friendly vehicles: Honda Pilot, Honda Odyssey, Subaru Outback.
