Let's get Prajwal rolling again

Hello,

I am reaching out to let you all know that I am kicking off a fundraise to help my close friends brother(Prajwal K) recover his medical expense and for his fast recovery so that he can get back to his normal life. Prajwal is presently pursuing his masters in Wichita State University and his parents are back in India and his brother Ujwal Kanuganti is his only support here and he is pretty much tensed and packed handling Prajwal's situation so I am raising this fundraise on their behalf and they need your help!

So, recently Prajwal along with his 3 friends were traveling from Oklahoma to Kansas and unfortunately went through a severe car crash where they got hit by a Chevrolet pickup truck which was a direct impact and made his car flip multiple times and finally ended in a dich leaving everyone in unconscious state. Fortunately they are all alive where his friends suffered from some weeks to recover injuries so they are discharged from the hospital but Prajwal had multiple fractures (includes left upper rib, broke his left arm by half and broke two bones in his left palm) along with serious DAI(diffuse axonal injury) because of which he is in coma in ICU.

(Diffuse axonal injury is the shearing (tearing) of the brain's long connecting nerve fibers (axons) that happens when the brain is injured as it shifts and rotates inside the bony skull leading to coma and injury to many different parts of the brain).

Five different trauma specialists are working on him now and have recommended a treatment for his recovery. So, it will cost the family more than $175,000 to pay the doctor bills at the hospital and since him being an international student his insurance is not covering the whole amount and his brother is his only support here.

The effects of his injury are devastating his family, however since he is just 23 years old with proper medication and treatment followed by physio therapy his survival and recovery rates are pretty high. Doctors mentioned he will remain in the hospital for another 3-4 weeks and upon his return home, he will require extensive therapy, medical equipment as well as modifications to his home to accommodate his new living requirements(as per doctors expected full recovery is 4-5months).

With everyones support we can definitely cure Prajwal, so any support can help ease the financial burden and resultant stress that the family is facing. Our goal is to raise the entire $175,000 or close for them.
