LOVE FOR DUSTY

Dusty’s, colon ruptured Jan 1 leaving him to have to have a temporary colostomy bag. The sepsis had poisoned his whole body. Due to the sepsis and his organs shutting down we almost lost him 3-4 times. This has been the scariest 59 days of our lifes, because of surgery/infection Dusty was placed on a ventilator for 13 days. The doctors then agreed he would need a temporary trac. He is still currently having to receive oxygen. Dusty, is suppose to be getting blood work, x- rays, etc. this has not happened. When he was released from the hospital he still had blood clots in his lungs and an enlarged heart that they have not check to see if the medication is working to fix these problems.  He has now been put in this faculty. He is not receiving the care needed by anyone to help him recover. My mom is there everyday telling them they need to give him his medicine, check his blood pressure and oxygen level, and making sure the trac is cleaned and suctioned. She has to ask where the physical therapists are that are suppose to be helping him get back on his feet. Dusty’s Medicade pays for everything at this faculty, but he is not being taken proper care of for any of these problems. Concerning the stomach womb and everything that has to be done to properly take care of this and the other things mentioned above. Medicade will only pay for a nurse to come 3 days a week if he is to come home. We want a nurse to come stay and take care of his stomach womb, his trac and help up get him to the doctor if we need too. We want someone to give him attention, be his friend, and help us get him back on his feet. I know this will not be something we can afford at this time. If we can get any support to be able to get Dusty out of the rehab and bring him home to be taken care of by family and a nurse would be so much more reassuring. He is not receiving the proper care or rehab needed.  They have not got him up once, and at this rate we do not see him being able to come home anytime soon. Please be so kind to give what you can anything helps, even if you are sharing. We want the best care possible. It is very hard on my mom having to going back and forth everyday and has really been difficult on us all. We want to be able to pay a private nurse to come help Dusty. As well as some of the equipment he will need to be at home Medicaid will not cover. Thank you and God will bless you!
