Let’s get Bill home!

Bill Diggs, the love of Wendy’s life, has been fascinated by space for as long as he can remember. He can recall countless facts about every mission and every astronaut, and one of Bill’s childhood dreams was to visit Kennedy Space Center. When Bill was diagnosed with liver cancer 6 weeks ago, in typical Wendy fashion, I imagine she started to focus on his ‘experience’. How could she help fulfill one of his dreams since he had fulfilled so many of hers just by being a part of her life? The answer came in a trip to Cape Canaveral. However brief the visit, Bill did get to see Kennedy Space Center.

At this time, Bill is in the ICU here in Florida. Once stable, the next mission is to get him home. Because of Bill’s condition, he needs to be transported back to Charlotte under medical care which costs over $10,000, not covered by insurance. If you love Wendy, then you can’t help but love Bill. If you know Wendy, then you also know she never asks for help. She is an amazingly strong woman and someone who has touched so many of our lives with her fun-loving spirit.
