Let's fix Tasha's home after Harvey

Donation protected
When Fiona and I were recently in Texas at the Houston Food Bank, we met Tasha who is definitely one of the strongest people we have ever met. She is a senior manager at the Food Bank working over 100 hour weeks since Hurricane Harvey to make sure that they meet the food and supply needs of the people of Houston. She is absolutely adored by the staff at the food bank, driven and motivated by her work and is truly dedicated to the mission of supporting those that need a helping hand.

However, what Tasha might not tell you, is that her home was devastated by the hurricane. A home that she had paid off, just 3 days before the hurricane struck. They were in the middle of desperately needed repairs on the home and most of those supplies were destroyed as the home filled with 2 -3 feet of water. And now they need to continue those repairs as well as repair all of the damage done by the flooding in order to make the home livable again. In the meantime, they have been hopping between hotels, unclear about the future.

There are so many wonderful organizations to support in the relief efforts but sometimes 1 person just needs a little bit of love and the person we found to need it and deserve it most is this wonderful soul - Tasha.
