VAEP was formed to help people learn the truth about vaping



My name is Kellie Ann. I'm the founding member of Vaping Advocacy and Education Project Inc. (VAEP).

We are a nonprofit run by registered nurses and members of the vaping community dedicated to helping people learn the truth about vaping.

Helping people learn with a full page newspaper ad (we cut it in two to fit it into the image size)


This crowd funding campaign is to drive people to  our free online learning resources by placing a full page ad in the Edmonton Journal plus we will have 2 weeks of online targeted ads!

Our ad has been approved for print as it meets their advertising parameters. We will start with Edmonton and continue to other cities

Mass education is good for the vaping community!



If people know the truth, good things happen:

        1. It shifts the narrative to harm reduction.

        2. It helps smokers switch to a safer option.

        3. It creates support from the public (everyone cares about someone who smokes).

       4. It generates referrals from health professionals.

       5. It pressures  governments to make regulations that promote harm reduction (like allowing flavours).

Overcoming misinformation



Every vaper knows about the rampant misinformation about vaping that is preventing people from making informed decisions.

Misinformation  threatens the future effectiveness of this significant harm reduction strategy such as the key component of flavours that make vaping enjoyable and access to  a variety products that allow the smoker to find the right device for them. In short, misinformation promotes smoking!

As health professionals we are required to interpret science and benefit people with that knowledge; we are qualified to give people health advice.

Before I go...

VAEP was incorporated 3 and a half years ago. We have been volunteering literally thousands of hours  to develop a solid foundation for easy learning about vaping!

We are now ready to get the word out so we can help people learn truths and overcome the pervasive misinformation.

We do not fight, we empower. We do not have adversaries, we have people that are misguided and need our help. We do not battle powerful agencies, we educate the good intentioned people within those agencies so they can create change.

We are driven by ethics and dedicated to set right this wrong.

Our approach is based in compassion and our resources are based in credible evidence. VAEP is here to serve the people.
