Roberta is a single Mom of 3 beautiful children.
Tyler is her 19 and attends Salisbury State College.
Brittney is her 17 and is in Dover High School.
Spencer is her 15 and attends Dover Schools as well.
This past Friday night a dear friend fell ill. Roberta ('Bert') and Larry were out for date night. Roberta shared she had a slight headache during dinner. After an awesome dinner, Larry and Roberta settled in for the night. As they layed in bed, Larry heard a gasp from Roberta. She fell unconsious and was not breathing. Fortunately, Larry remained calm and called 911. He immediately started CPR while waiting for the EMT's to arrive. Her heart stopped twice and she was revived. Test were extensive and no real answers as of yet. There are signs of trauma in the brain due to the lack of oxygen. They put Roberta in a medically induced coma and a therapeutic hypothermia . The medical team has kept her in this state for the past 3 days. This allows her body to rest and heal. As of Monday morning they brought Roerta back to normal temperature and will slowly reduce her medicines. We will not have any information until Roberta decides to wake. I will share information as I receive it.
These children have been making decisions they should not have to make at their age. Plus driving from Dover to Christiana Hospital to spend time with their Mom. As well as sleeping at the hospital.
Please help us take care of Roberta and her children while we await the outcome. She is a beautiful soul. She would give you her last dollar. Let's try to return the kindness she always exhibits.
Please help us by sharing funds to pay personal bills that are due, medical expenses and funds for gas to help the kids get back and forth.
