Let's Build the Dream Shop Together!

Hello Everyone!

 

An exciting opportunity has been laid at my front door, literally! The empty 1 acre lot next to my house and current shop is for sale. I was able to form an agreement that has the property locked in for 6 months - so we have 6 months to raise at least the $80k to purchase the piece of land. If we can meet the goal and purchase the lot, my next step will be to build a dream shop where we will continue our adventures together!

The previous owner sadly passed away, and as part of her legacy all profits from the lot will be donated to animal charities. The $80k we raise will benefit so many animals in need. It's a win-win situation! 

Building the dream workshop means indoor cranes, homemade power hammers, massive layout and forging tables, and more!! Something that I have been dreaming of for the past 20 years! It is extremely dangerous how I move thousands of pounds of steel currently - I have no idea how I still have all of my limbs. The thought of being able to implement a forklift has me giddy with excitement! I will film the full building process, so you will get to watch every step of the design and construction of the new shop!

With a bigger shop I can finally act on designs that I been have dreaming of for years! I have large pieces I want to build that my current shop would never allow for. I want to build public pieces that inspire communication and community through art like elaborate puzzle tables that require teamwork, and vast musical sculptures where people can be creative together. Also, with a larger shop I could potentially consider taking on apprentices and host blacksmithing workshops.

I have never allowed myself to dream this big before now - it was so far out of my reach. Growing up without means has been a struggle. Every dime I ever made always went back into expanding my work. Thanks to this awesome community we’re building, my wildest dreams might just come true - thanks to all of you! I will be able to build more efficiently, safer, and tackle even larger creations! All donors will have their name written on the walls of the new shop - as a Hall of Gratitude. I love you guys so much, thank you.
