Bringing Brita Home

Anyone who knows Brita and Sandy knows they are incredible human beings who love and care for others extremely well!!   Now it’s our turn to
care for them!!

On January 9th, 2021,  while skiing with her family at SilverStar Brita was in a serious accident that has left her with significant injuries; Brita is
currently a paraplegic.

The way Brita and Sandy have chosen to respond to this accident with gratitude that Brita's life was spared and she has her full mind is beyond
inspiring. Their faith is strong and Brita’s SWEET SPIRIT continues to shine through, despite the
suffering she is experiencing.

Doctor's have told Brita and Sandy that their life is about to get very expensive.  Barring a miracle,  Brita will not regain use of her legs and while she can expect to have independence, she requires
the use of specialized equipment and
support services.  Currently, Brita has use of her left arm, but movement of her right arm is
limited; they are hoping and praying rehabilitation will be able to  restore her right arm to full
capacity.

All of this means the Colero’s will need to make short term modifications to their current home,
and then ultimately, requires they purchase and move into a fully accessible home.   Additionally, they will require adapted vehicles to maintain
their ability to travel as a family and for Brita to be able to drive, which will allow her to have as much independence as possible. The Colero’s
are working hard to understand their various coverages and extended benefits, which will
assist with some of their needs.......BUT wouldn’t it be great if they didn’t have to worry for one
moment where the finances are going to come 
from to make these changes and can focus on
Brita's rehabilitation and their three sweet
girls?!  We can do that folks...Let’s Bless the
Coleros!!!!!

Let’s take this opportunity to make sure they don’t have to worry for a moment where the money will come from and ensure Brita has
EVERYTHING she needs to live a full and
meaningful life when she returns home to Lake Country!
