Allison’s Funeral and Celebration of Life

Allison has been in remission for three years now. We have been so lucky to enjoy this time with “Nana.” Just three months ago Nana had a PET scan that was “normal.” Then, suddenly this last scan came back with two large tumors. After further testing, we received the news that no one ever wants to get. We found out this morning that although the surgeon will be able to operate and remove the tumors in her pelvis that are causing her excruciating pain, the cancer has spread to her bones and lymph nodes. The doctor became emotional as she reported, “It is stage four. It is treatable, but not curable.” On Tuesday, we find out what type of treatment, if any is possible, and how much more time we can have with our sweet Nana! We are asking for donations to support Allison for medical costs, and living expenses. Unfortunately, social security does not give her enough to support her apartment and living costs so up until now she has been cutting hair through NextDoor to make ends meet. She did this even though she is disabled with permanent neuropathy in her hands and feet from the previous chemo treatment she had. We would love for Allison to also be able to just use money to enjoy some “me time.” She will be spending so much time fighting to prolong her life we hope that others can find it in their hearts to help her possibly take a trip to her favorite place, Hawaii to enjoy the sunset and beaches!
