Lethbridge High School iGEM Team 2020

Donation protected
The International Genetically Engineered Machines  (iGEM) competition gives students from around the world a chance to participate in cutting-edge research in synthetic biology and genetic engineering. Held annually in Boston, MA, teams use their skills to address real world issues facing their community today.

The Lethbridge high school iGEM team  has competed in the iGEM competition since 2012. The team has consistently placed among the world's best and in 2013 brought home the Grand Prize Green Brick.

In order to be successful, the team needs to raise funds to support their project goals.

We will be fundraising for:
team registration
materials for building our project
potential travel & accommodation

In light of the current global pandemic situation, the Lethbridge iGEM team has moved online! While we may not be able to get into the lab anytime soon, it doesn't mean we can't still do amazing science! Our project for the 2020 season focuses on making composting at home as efficient as possible. We'll all be working very hard on researching, writing papers, completing protein modeling, and testing composting prototypes at home. Our fundraising will go towards registration for the iGEM competition ($5500 USD) and materials for our project.
