Let's Take Creek Tennis to the Next Level

I have been the tennis director at Spruce Creek High School for thirty years now. Before 1991, Creek tennis had never won a team title.
I decided to take over the program that year and since then our girls squad has won 13 conference titles and reached the Florida Elite Final Eight 10 of the past 11 years. Our boys team has won 24 conference titles in 28 tries and reached the Elite Eight in Florida 17 times.
Academically we are "Traditionally Tough" as well winning the ATC (Academic Team Championship) for the highest team GPA in Florida several times.
Our region is NOT a hotbed of international tennis academies like the counties south and southwest of us. Those schools attract the best junior players in the world to train at academies and play for local schools. When we reach the state finals, we must compete against these players. To prepare for that level of competition, we must travel extensively every season to find opponents of that caliber.
This year, The Sunshine State Showdown High School Tennis Invitational will be held in Lake Nona, Florida. The best teams from all over the United States will be there to compete. We want to be there not only as contenders; we want to win it all.
