Let's support the locals of Batemans Bay

My name is Chloe Morello, I am a Beauty Creator on social media.
This is a page for my followers to donate a few dollars - or more - to help me give cash support to victims of the fires in my hometown of Batemans Bay. The Bushfires burnt down nearly 500 homes over the new year period and many families are left with nothing.
With the money raised from this and my Closet Sale I will purchase prepaid eftpos gift cards to give to the locals of Batemans Bay affected most by the bushfires such as volunteer firefighters and people who lost homes, property, income etc. I believe this is the best way because the recipient can then spend using the card however they wish, and support the local economy when spending locally.
The company I have currently chosen to purchase the cards is Australia Post. I have reached out to Aus Post to see if they will waive the fees in this special instance, but if not I will pay the purchase and shipping fees myself ($7.95 per card) so the only admin fees would be from GoFundMe's commission. I will round up to the nearest $500 from my own pocket.
The maximum amount we can put on the cards is $500, so at this point we can get 45+ cards. If we raise more money, I will purchase more cards. The cards will be picked up by my family at the Batemans Bay Australia Post where they will be gifted directly to:
-locals who've lost their homes, business or property,
-RFS volunteers,
-Evac centres (to give to those staying or seeking help in the centres)
or
-Locals unable to work or purchase necessities due to the closure or burning of their employers.
When the money is released the cards will be purchased and couriered to Batemans Bay OR collected at Australia Post by my Mother Julie and Sister Ellie.
My family and contacts on the ground in Batemans Bay will document the handling process and I will post here and on my social media profiles so you will all be updated on our joint efforts.
